City of Grand Junction Projects with Travel Restrictions

Waterline Replacement Project

  • Elm Avenue – 18th Street to 23rd Street
  • D Road – 10th Street to 12th Street
  • Streets may be closed to thru traffic
  • Detour routes will be in place
  • Expect delays

731 27 Road – Fire Station #6

Wednesday, August 26:

  • Alternating one lane traffic along 27 Road
  • Expect delays

Lorey Drive (West off of 1st Street north of West Middle School) – Safe Routes to School Project

  • Shoulder work and possible street closure when needed
  • Access for residents will be maintained
  • Please slow down through construction zone
  • Anticipated Completion – Early September        

Riverfront at Dos Rios Phase 2 Project (8/17/20 to 6/17/21)

  • Be aware of construction activities around the bicycle playground, access to the bike park from Riverside Parkway will remain open during construction.
  • The existing asphalt surface of Riverside Drive, south of Hale Avenue, has been permanently removed. No vehicle access shall be allowed south of Hale.
  • The River Front Trail, south of Hale Avenue, shall remain open, but expect small detours around construction activities through September.

7th Street Between Grand Avenue and North Avenue Lead Water Service Elimination Project

  • Lane closures either north bound or south bound throughout the week
  • Short delay can be expected

Non-City of Grand Junction Projects with Travel Restrictions

North Avenue Gas Line Replacement Project Phase 2, between 28 Road and 29 2/4 Road – CDOT

  • Work hours – 8pm to 8am Sunday thru Thursday
  • Expect lane closures and delays
  • Alternate route advised

Sewer Line Rehabilitation – Clifton Sanitation District

  • F Road between 31 Road and 32 Road
  • F ½ Road between 31 Road and 32 Road
  • Expect delays
  • Alternate route advised

Gas Line Relocation Project – Xcel Energy

  • White Avenue will be closed between Rice Street and 1st Street
  • Business access provided
  • Alternate route advised
