Beginning on Monday, August 24th, CW Construction will begin the demolition of the Pawn Shop building on 225 S 2nd Street. Nine different companies submitted bids for this project with CW Construction being the low bid at $40,000.
The City purchased this prominent piece of property in 2017. The removal of this building helps to eliminate slum and blight in the downtown area and the remaining vacant land will be used as parking expansion for the Grand Junction Convention Center. Please exercise caution near the property during the demolition process.
