City of Grand Junction Projects with Travel Restrictions

Raw Water Line Construction – 5th Street Bridge

  • North Bound 5th Street traffic will be reduced to one lane
  • Expect delays
  • 35 mph speed limit will be enforced
  • Anticipated completion – April

31 Road between D ½ Road and E Road, Utility Construction

  • 31 Road closed to thru traffic
  • Access for residents will be provided
  • Detour route is in place
  • Anticipated completion – April

Court Road between Orchard Avenue and Bookcliff Avenue, Utility Construction

  • Court Road between Orchard Avenue and Bookcliff Avenue will be closed to thru traffic
  • Access for local residents will be provided
  • Detour route will be in place
  • Anticipated completion – April

Riverside Trail Repairs/Replacement west of 5th Street Bridge

  • Approximately 2,000 of trail along various locations will be under construction
  • Please follow well-marked detour
  • Anticipated completion – April

Non-City of Grand Junction Projects with Travel Restrictions

22 Road between J Road and K Road, Bridge Replacement Project – Mesa County Project

  • 22 Road is closed to through traffic
  • Work hours will be 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Mon. – Fri.
  • Access will be provided for local residents at all times
  • A well-marked detour will be in place
  • Anticipated completion – April.

Orchard Avenue Reconstruction, Normandy Drive to 29 Road – Mesa County

  • Minimal traffic impacts are anticipated with exception of paving days
  • Orchard Avenue will be closed to thru traffic during the week of March 30th for paving
  • Anticipated final completion – April

457 Colorado Avenue Utility Construction- Ramblebine Brewery

  • Colorado Avenue is closed just west of 5th Street
  • The 400 block of Colorado Avenue will have to be accessed from 4th Street
  • Anticipated Completion – Wednesday March 25

3134 D Road Utility Construction – Clifton Water

  • Wednesday – Friday: D Road will be closed to thru traffic between 31 Road and 32 Road
  • Detour route will be in place

 Hwy 340 and Colonial Drive (Monument Village Entrance), Left Turn Lane Project – Mesa County

  • Contractor will Mobilize onto site Monday March 23
  • As construction progresses there will be alternating one lane traffic during work hours
  • Traffic delays are expected
  • Pedestrian access will remain on north side of Hwy 340
  • Anticipated Completion – Late May
