Ribbon Cutting for Grand Junction Lions Club Parkette at Las Colonias Park Amphitheater

The City of Grand Junction has worked very closely with the Grand Junction Lions Club for many years on reclamation projects, property purchases, and capital improvements to the riverfront area in downtown Grand Junction. The local club donated several hundred thousand dollars toward the completion of Las Colonias Park Phase I and the Las Colonias Park Amphitheater.

Lions ParketteIn recognition of this valuable partnership, the City has worked with the Grand Junction Lions to create a very unique functional art display at the park using local artwork and native plant material.

To celebrate the completion of the space, a short ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held on Thursday, November 1 at 11:00 a.m. The Grand Junction Lions Club parkette is adjacent to the Las Colonias Amphitheater just east of the main Amphitheater gates.
