The community is again invited to share input regarding a possible Community and Recreation Center in Grand Junction as the second round of community meetings kicks off March 5 – 6. Grand Junction Parks and Recreation and PLACE (People for Location Activities and Community Enrichment) are working in collaboration on this process with the next series of meetings taking place in early March, and community members are encouraged to attend. The meeting options are:
Monday, March 5, 5:30pm-6:30pm at American Lutheran Church, 631 26 1/2 Rd
Tuesday, March 6, 11am – Noon in the City Hall Auditorium, 250 N. 5th Street
These meetings will build upon the visioning exercises from the first community meeting held on January 18, and voting technology will be available to allow real-time feedback from participants. The content of both meetings will be the same, with two options available for the public’s convenience. The public may also share input or review the process thus far by visiting http://bit.ly/gjcommcenter.
