With the approval of the 2018 City budget, the Grand Junction Commission on Arts and Culture has opened the 2018 art grant program.
A total of $40,000 is available to Colorado non-profit agencies for arts and cultural projects that are held in Mesa County. The process opens December 7th and closes February 2nd at 5:00pm. The Arts Commission will hold two identical trainings for agencies that would like a little more guidance on the process. Trainings will be held at the Parks and Recreation Office, 1340 Gunnison Ave. on December 13th at 10:00am or January 10th at 3:00pm.
Since 1992, the Arts Commission has provided funding for arts and culture in Mesa County, with a brief hiatus in 2016, contributing to the rich cultural fabric of our community. The Commission on Arts and Culture is an eleven-member board appointed by the City Council to foster cultural development and arts activities in the community.
