City of Grand Junction Projects with Travel Restrictions

Riverside Parkway Access Improvements at Las Colonias

Eastbound Riverside Parkway will be closed to through traffic between 9th Street and D Road from 7am to 5pm daily.  Westbound Riverside Parkway will be closed to through traffic between 9th Street and D Road from 9am to 5pm daily.  Winters Avenue will be closed to thru traffic between Riverside Pkwy. and 15th Street

  • Detour route will be in place
  • Anticipated completion November 2017.


28 ½ Road Sewer and Water Line Replacement

28 ½ Road between I-70B and North Avenue will be closed to through traffic

  • Access will be maintained for local residents and businesses
  • Anticipated completion – November 2017.


2017 Roadway Repairs Project
                            

Mariposa Drive @ Monument Road

  • Mariposa Drive will be closed Monday and Tuesday
  • Detour route is in place

28 ¾ Road between North Avenue and Orchard Avenue

  • Sunday, October 15, 28 ¾ Road will be closed to thru traffic
  • Access will be maintained for local residents

6th Street between North Avenue and Tiger Way

  • 6th Street will be closed Monday – Friday
  • Detour route will be in place


Leaf Removal Program

  • City wide leaf pick up began Monday, October 9
  • Please slow down in areas where crews are working
  • This program is weather dependent and may be delayed due to poor conditions.

 


 

Non-City of Grand Junction Projects with Travel Restrictions       

I-70B/North Avenue Interchange Project west of 1st Street– CDOT Project

  • Expect alternating left and right-lane closures in both directions
  • Speed limit reduction throughout construction zone is set at 30 mph
  • Anticipated completion – October 2017.


26 Road and F ¾ Road Utility Work – Private Development Project

  • Tuesday & Wednesday: 26 Road will be closed to thru traffic between G Road and F ½ Road from 8 am to 5 pm both days
  • Detour route will be in place.

 

Ridgeway Court east of Ridges Blvd. Utility Work – Private Development Project

  • Expect alternating one-lane traffic during daylight hours
  • Anticipated completion –  late October 2017.
