Riverside Parkway Resurfacing Project

Adjusting manhole covers to grade (Tuesday – Friday)

~~ Riverside Parkway from 24 Road to 29 Road
~~ West Avenue from Riverside Parkway to Hwy 340

• Flaggers will be on site to assist motorists
• Expect delays
• Anticipated completion – October 2017.

Contract Street Overlay and Chip Seal Project (daylight hours)

28 ½ Road Sewer and Water Line Replacement

~~ 28 ½ Road between I-70B and North Avenue will be closed to through traffic.

• Access will be maintained for local residents and businesses
• Anticipated completion – November 2017.

 Non-City of Grand Junction Projects with Travel Restrictions

I-70 Beavertail Tunnel Lighting Project (east of Palisade) – CDOT Project

• Speed limit reduction throughout construction zone is set at 35 mph
• Eastbound I-70 traffic will be detoured onto service road 24/7. No vehicle parking or bicycling on the service road.
• Westbound traffic will detour through the eastbound tunnel 24/7
• Both west and eastbound traffic can expect single-lane closures
• Project hours will be weekdays 7am – 5pm

7th Street between Kennedy Avenue and Elm Avenue (bus pullout project) – Colorado Mesa University Project

• Northbound traffic can expect single-lane closures
• Work hours will be 7am to 5:30pm daily
• Traffic delays can be expected
• Anticipated completion will be Friday, September 15.

I-70B / North Avenue Interchange Project west of 1^st Street– CDOT Project

• Expect alternating left and right lane closures in both directions
• Speed limit reduction throughout construction zone is set at 30 mph
• Anticipated completion – October 2017.

 

24 ½ Road and Patterson Road overhead transformer replacement – Xcel Energy Project

Tuesday, September 5 from 9:30 am – 11:30am

• Traffic will be reduced to one lane westbound Patterson Road and one lane northbound 24 ½ Road
• Traffic delays can be expected.
