Gunnison Avenue Sewer Line Replacement Project
- Gunnison Avenue between 15th Street and 24th Street is closed to through traffic
- Access provided for local residents
- Detour route will be in place
- Anticipated completion – late April.
1st Street Reconstruction – Ouray Avenue to North Avenue
- Please slow down, there will be lane shifts and flaggers when needed
- Access to all businesses will be maintained
- Anticipated completion – July.
12th Street Sewer Line Replacement Project
- 12th Street between Pitkin Avenue and Gunnison Avenue
- Lane shifts and possible traffic delays between 7 am and 5 pm daily
- There will be short term side street closures with detours in place
- Anticipated completion – late May.
Pavement Striping
- North Avenue from 1st Street to 29 Road
- Hwy 340 from 1st Street to Willow Ridge Court
- 21 ½ Road from Hwy 6&50 to I Road
- Striping operation will take place 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday – Thursday.
Annual Spring Clean-Up Program
City streets south of North Avenue to include Orchard Mesa and the Redlands
- City crews will be picking up debris along street side
- Please slow down in areas where crews are working
- Short delays can be expected
- Project completion – Friday.
Non-City of Grand Junction Projects with Travel Restrictions
Red Canyon Sidewalk and Pedestrian Bridge (Hwy 340 east of Vista Grande Road) – Mesa County Project
- Watch for trucks turning onto and off of highway
- Motorists be aware of speed limit reductions through construction zone
- Anticipated completion – June.
29 ½ Road Bridge Replacement over Grand Valley Irrigation Canal – CDOT/Mesa County
- 29 ½ Road is closed to through traffic between Orchard Avenue and Patterson Road
- Access provided for local residents
- Detour route is in place

Horizon Drive Fiber Optics between 12th Street and Horizon Court – Private Customer
- There will be various lane closures during normal work hours
- All business access will be maintained
- Anticipated completion – late April.
Colorado National Monument
- Crews are working at Half Tunnel to stabilize the road surface and also making repairs to the rock retaining walls along various locations throughout the Monument
- There will be alternating one lane traffic through the construction zones between the hours of 7 am and 6 pm week days
- Expect up to 15 minute delays – flaggers will be onsite to assist motorists
- Anticipated completion- mid May.
