City of Grand Junction Projects with Travel Restrictions

Sewer Repair and Replacement Project – River Road between 24 Road and Persigo Wastewater Plant

  • Alternating one lane traffic controlled by temporary traffic signals and or flaggers.
  • Motorists be aware of speed limit reductions through construction zone.
  • Up to 10 minute delays can be expected, alternate route advised.
  • Project completion – June 2017.

1st Street Reconstruction – Ouray Avenue to North Avenue

  • Expect lane closures and lane shifts during work hours.
  • Flaggers will be used to move traffic safely through work zone.
  • Access to all businesses will remain open.
  • Project completion – July 2017.

Irrigation Project – 28 ¾ Road between Mesa Avenue and Elm Avenue

  • Construction is scheduled to start Monday March 6.
  • 28 ¾ Road will be closed to through traffic during work hours.
  • Detour route will be in place.
  • Access will be provided for local residents.
  • Anticipated completion – Friday March 17.

B ½ Road Overpass @ Hwy. 50 Project

  • B ½ Road Overpass is closed to pedestrians.
  • Expect periodic lane closures both directions of Hwy 50.
  • Anticipated completion – Friday March 10.

Non-City of Grand Junction Projects with Travel Restrictions

Red Canyon Sidewalk and Pedestrian Bridge (Hwy 340 east of Vista Grande Road) – Mesa County Project

  • Motorists be aware of speed limit reductions through construction zone.
  • Possible traffic delays can be expected.
  • Project completion – June 2017.

29 ½ Road Bridge Replacement over Grand Valley Irrigation Canal – CDOT/Mesa County Project

  • 29 ½ Road is closed to through traffic between Orchard Avenue and Patterson Road.
  • Access provided for local residents.
  • Detour route is in place.
