During Wednesday night’s regular City Council meeting following significant discussion and public testimony, City Council voted by a margin of 5 to 2 to not move forward with the next milestone of a broadband implementation plan at this time. The two supporting votes were Kennedy and Boeschenstein.
Several comments were made by Council that this is not the end of the broadband discussion for Grand Junction. It is anticipated that Council will reconvene in the near future to discuss what the next steps could be.
